1.5 billion people worldwide are affected by intestinal parasitic worms (soil-transmitted helminths).

DeWorm3 is a five-year study to investigate the feasibility of interupting the transmission of three types of parasitic worms.

The project will be performed at sites in Asia and Africa, implemented in partnership with governments of endemic countries, research institutes and global disease experts.
